Revolutionizing Legal Branding: Fincap Law LLP's Award-Winning Design

Dongho Kim and Yunyoung Lee's Innovative Approach to Legal Firm Branding

Dongho Kim and Yunyoung Lee, the creative minds behind Fincap Law LLP's brand identity, drew their inspiration from the belief that the best design should be simple, minimal, yet aesthetically pleasing. They aimed to create a design that was not only beautiful but also modern and innovative. The project presented an opportunity to challenge the traditional concept of legal firm branding and demonstrate the power of design through visual elements alone.

The unique brand design of Fincap Law LLP is divided into three main elements: the plus symbol, square frames, and lattice nodes. Each element carries a distinct meaning related to the firm's core values: Continuous Improvement, Legal Protection, and Networking. These values were integrated into the design to create a unique identity for Fincap Law.

The design was realized using various Adobe software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffect, and Premiere. The process involved experimenting with different geometric combinations using vectors and intersection points. The final design was chosen after careful consideration of numerous prototypes.

The design specifications include an image dimension of 150*150 pixels with a minimum resolution of 72 DPI. The logo is available in two versions: one with a clear-white background and another in black. The design can also be presented in a monochromatic format if necessary. The logo is centered on the canvas, not positioned to corners or edges.

The design project, which started in May 2018 in London and ended in June 2018, was modified for the "A Design Award" until the end of September that year. The project faced several challenges, including identifying suitable models for the final representation, analyzing and evaluating prototypes, and formulating ideograms that would appeal to audiences while encapsulating relevant meaning. Despite these challenges, the design was successfully propagated to the marketing and interior design teams and was approved for use as the official company logo.

The design of Fincap Law LLP is a testament to the power of design in transforming a brand's identity. It is a perfect blend of simplicity, modernity, and relevance to the firm's core values. The design's success is evident in its recognition by the prestigious A' Design Award, which honors outstanding and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology.
